How rare is this car? 60000 miles. Grey Metellic. Car was gone over by in house Reentech tech at dealership and was serviced. New Hankook tires. Reenteck tune and body kit.Asking 30000.7 owners. Last owner had it 7 years and put about 6000 miles.Owner passed away and wife is selling the car. I'm trading my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport. 49870 miles.Giving 37000 for it. Won't be driving the Benz much. About 2000 miles a year. Thoughts? Anyone on this forum went from vette to Benz? Thanks
Service history and what’s been replaced. Motor mounts, abc service and top service. It’s almost 20 years of age, and service bills of all 3 systems above will add up quickly is they haven’t been addressed.
I bought a 2005 sl600. Just assume the car you're looking at comes with $10,000 of deferred maintenance that has to be performed as soon as you get it.
I've had a modded c5 z06, modded c6 z06,996 carrera , 997 carrera s, & now a sl65 & cl65. I could honestly say the SL is by far my favorite. The build quality is leagues above the vettes & the v12tt kinda make the Carreras feel like toys imo. The SL is not as sharp and analog as the Carreras but is amazing for grand touring and absolutely devours highway fast.
Oh also not sure how much you are concerned about maintenence but your c6 ls3 vette is probably as maintenence free as you can get for a sports car. The mercedes isn't terrible but expect to potentially be messing with the abc and other stuff. . .. .imo you also can't compare the thrill of ownership between a pushrod v8 small block & a v12 tt.
I’ve just sold my 2012 C6 ZR1 and get a 2012 SL550 it’s apple and orange to compare the Vette was an absolute beast always ready to ripped your head and reliable as a Camry the SL is more of a quiet gentleman cruiser full of amenities to pamper its occupants power is correct although it’s not a TTV12 as for maintenance I know it’ll need much more TLC than the Vette, no regrets so far I think you should go for it the Reentech is an animal and it’s more exclusive than pope ****. Good luck
Yo I have an unadulterated '04 SL600 w/ 45K miles Garage Queen(I am 2nd owner) in excellent condition you can put any tune/body/wheel package on it you want ! Exceptionally well cared for and gets whatever maintenance it needs. All fluids less than 20K miles old. New batteries, tires(michelin pilot sports,) no codes, ABC fluid/filter serviced, etc. I'll even throw in new OEM floormats and color keyed rubber mats. $25,000 Firm.

Thanks V12 baby..But this car really caught my eye. Dark blue grey Metellic. Wide body. All the body venting for brakes. Azure 20 inch rims. Reenteck stage 1. Dealership sells high end cars and has tecks that service Reentech, AMG, Ferrari ect. Went over car. Put 3700 into it including tires. Getting a powertrain warranty 3year 36. Good luck with selling your car!

Could not agree with you more. I have had 15 vette's over the past 40 years. My favorites would be my 2010 GS Callaway 606 vert, 2013 427 anniversary vert, and a 2002 Z06 with a Maggie on it and many other mods. It was a show car. I don't drive my toys that much in a year. Maybe 1500 a year. This MB will be my 4 wheel Picasso LOL.Just look at it in my man cave garage with a good glass of burbon and a fine cigar. And also polish the **** out of it. Going fast is secondary now. Just like to cruse. But if someone wants to "tussle" I might ablige. Cheers!
