Could anyone post or describe a picture of a right airbag warning light on the speedometer of a US version 2011 or 2012 or 230 version SL. Everything that I see on owners manuals demonstrates that there is an SRS light on the tachometer, and that there is a right airbag warning, light in the center consul region slightly below the round air conditioning bench. This is a great interest to me, because my car is being held up at the border, I purchased a This is what USDOT is saying it should look like refer to as picture one, supplied by USDOT Claims my vehicle is out of NHTSA safety standards per USA FMCSS regulations. If the data that user in the 2012 owners manuals is indeed correct, then all SL R230 are in violation, show me that I am wrong and I will gladly comply That speedo with the airbag light does not even look like the same type! 2012 R2 three version SL 63 that is being held at the border because it does not have a right airbag warning light in the speedometer region, it does have one center consul from the factory, again every owners manual that I see for the US demonstrates the very same. Any comment or pictures would be helpful, I will include a picture of what they are saying is supposed to be the reality for a 2012 or 230 SL speedometer. Thank you for your time.

Your first pic looks like the tach in my 2015 SL (R231). (EDIT: Actually, it doesn't look like mine.). I can understand wanting to escape Canada. I'm surprised they didn't say anything about your speed in KM. Maybe you should point out that they need to update their references.

Lastly, this is also from the 2015 manual. I think we spell out "BRAKE" because the symbol looks too much like the TPMS warning. Then, we also have the ABS warning. But they should be using the correct manual.

I think what you are seeing on the center console is the light indicating when the passenger airbag is disabled. For the airbag to be active, there must be at least 20 lbs in the seat. Less than 20 lbs indicates a small person or child in a carseat, and the airbag is disabled.
The information you gave me was outstanding, I am having my importer go back with all of the new data, obviously they are wrong, will the bureaucrats cave, stay tuned….

Here are pdfs of the two Operator's Manuals for the R230 and R231. I don't know if much change between 2004 and 2012 models, but it looks like you already have the manual for the 2012 year.
