SL/R230: Strange Sound from Left Rear End of Car

Strange Sound from Left Rear End of Car
I started noticing a strange sound coming from the back left of my car, and am not sure if it is normal or not. After driving and coming to a stop, periodically when I take my foot of the brake, I hear a hyrdraulic kind of sound from the back left side, if I inch forward and reappy the brakes and then take my foot off the brakes I don't hear it.
Anyone have any ideas???????

I have exactly the same sound on my SL. It started an year ago and in the service they told me they can't fix it because they hear nothing wrong. I'm very pissed on Mercedes now. My SL gets broken almost every week. My next car definitely won't be a Mercedes!

My experiences have shown me a lot depends on the service department, my local dealership SUCKS, they end up doing more damage than repairs. I go out of town to another dealership that makes an honest attempt to correct things. Try another service department and see if things change for you. I am taking my car in next thursday, I will let you know what they say about the back end noise.

Not all of the people in all of the service departments seem to have the opportunity to read what Mercedes writes in their brochures about expert service and highly trained technicians. Some seem to try to put the square peg in the round hole. My local dealerships General Manager lives down the street from me, he blamed his dealerships problems in service on the labor market in our town. Tallahassee isn't huge, but not small either, excuses, excuses, excuses.

All of you have alternative for the service of your cars but here in Puerto Rico we have only one dealer how give the service of the mercedes. Think that it could be worth.
