I know they are the same car but are there any differences at all, like the telemetrics, COMAND or NAV, etc?

The small screen in-between the gauges is more high-rez. That's the only difference in the car.

There were two more options available and they re-priced (aka included earlier options) the car.
The additional options were split-screen and night vision. Night vision has a really odd implementation since it doesn't show between the gauges (like the S-Class) but on the command screen.

no technical differences at all AFAIK

The 2013 has the gold toned Command screens and the 2014 gained the newer Silver look. For 2015, the 6 disc changer was dropped for a single disc. And they took out the rear tweeters in 2015: two less speakers.

Good info! Have the silver look in our ML and care for neither. Compared to the cheaper S-Class, they are all ancient...

Dropping the DVD changer is probably no big deal but dropping tweeters seems like a poor choice unless the remaining system was redesigned to make up for it.
Sounds like a simple cost cutting move...

There is usually no need for a DVD changer if the audio system has a hard drive to burn the discs to. My E63 has one but don't know about the SLs.

Agreed, I won't miss it. I had the changer in my E class and never used it. I skipped the hard drive too. Just get an iPod that stays in the car and it'll hold all of your music and has instant access.
