can't find the auxilary battery on my SL-class (R231)
It was hit in the nose an set for a while
The main battery in the trunk was DEAD and I put a new one in
It runs and drives but the on dash display gives the following errors
EBD inoperative
Auxiliary Battery Malfunction
Parking brake -(see owners manual)
The parking break appears to be dragging or still on
the last 8 on the vin are FF034596
Also any suggestions on how I can reset the computer
Thanks for your help

Is my auxiliary battery for my 2015 MB SL400 (276)?
My VIN is: XXXXFF034454
1. Is my auxiliary battery under the fuse box behind the passenger seat?
2. If I were to replace it do I lose some (a lot) of electronic settings?...
3. ...can I keep the leads hooked up to my battery tender so as to not lose the electronic settings while I replace it?
thanks

D49 posted a great battery reference link a bit ago: you might find what you are searching for on this page: https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...ent-guide.html

I know the aftermarket sells a cheap little cigarette lighter plug with a pigtail that accepts a 9-volt battery, just for maintaining enough system memory voltage to avoid such issues when temporarily disconnecting a vehicle's battery. It works, too...but I have no idea if, or how well, it would work on a car that has two batteries, with one of them disconnected.
