This forum is getting too boring... Please help and post some pics!
It's summer and this is a convertible forum! Just caught myself responding to an audio amp location thread. Relevant yet not the most interesting topic about these fun cars.
While some have the pleasure of top-down weather throughout the year for others this is the best time to drive these fine convertibles. What better time post post some random pics of your rides, during trips, before-after customizations and such. It's been years and we don't have a proper picture thread. Another try
Better yet, get you car nominated as the car of the month!
Since I am SL-less, I start to post some pics of our last one and one of our prior 2013...

Nice to see some aftermarket wheels. I find that the car can easily take 20" wheels as seen by stussl.

It may be interesting to some that came from an older R230 SL wether the wheels would fit on the new car.
When we got our first R231 in 2013 I was playing around some of our R230 SL600 wheels (rear wheels). The wheels actually fit well and the offset preferred over factory offsets. The car is comically high on standard springs (non ABC).

Finally settled on forged AMG 19"/20" wheels. See for comparison to stock wheels. The car was still to high and then was lowered via H&R sport springs (before/after)...

Hey Wolfman, I'm getting ready to do the same. Can't understand why that gap is so huge. I did the same on my Maserati GT and the look is like night and day. I'm also going to add spacers. did you do that?
