Problems with lumber support memory

Hi,
im a newbie to this site and after my purchase of a 2015 SL400 2015 AMG Sport I am having trouble with the drivers lumber support memory.
Every time I turn the engine off the lumbar support reverts to a hard setting (7-7).
I have set the support to a softer setting say 0-3 and set the memory seat but it still reverts to 7-7 every time.
This doesn’t happen to the passenger seat which remains at the required setting each time.
Am I doing something wrong or do I have a fault?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Heavy too. It hurts my back so much, when I have to load and unload the lumber in my car. Particularly the lumbar region of my back. I am going to fashion a lumbar support out of lumber, and install it in my driver’s seat(sniff and the tears). Put your lumbar in my lumber.

Do you get the same result if you save the settings to another door memory switch (1, 2, or 3)? Just trying to rule out the door memory switch components before focusing on the seat components.

Here are a few seat docs that describe the seat components and location. It may be possible to swap parts between seats to isolate the bad actor.

Good luck!
