Oil Filter Advice Please
Just looking for advice on the acceptability of using a FRAM oil filter (CH11060 FRAM Extra Guard Oil Filter) instead of the MB filter.
The MB filter is only about $10.00 more so it's not a big deal, it's just easier (not as far to drive) to get the FRAM.

I would not cheap out on oil filter, fram has been a bottom feeder for long time.....but I do order mine from amsoil....delivery in 2 days....

Thanks for that. I'm going to spend the extra dough and stay with MB.
40,000 Km now and this will be my 8th change.

MANN makes oil filters for Mercedes. WIX is also a premium oil filter.

So, MANN is acceptable? I found it on their site but the shape of the material doesn't look the same, i.e., it has straight pleats as opposed to MB's weaved pleats.

OE filters (usually Mann, Hengst, or one of them rebranded as MB) are available through the usual list of online retailers. I order a half dozen at a time so that I always have one when needed. Online pricing is competite with Fram store shelf pricing.

Why not stick with the Purflux OE filter? $12.35 USD. Not sure if FCP ships to you.

For that specific filter I would go with the Purflux L394. Less money and its who manufactures the Genuine MB filter.

I have the M272 engine so go with the Mann filter who manufacturers that specific filter.

FCP is good if you have a bunch of other parts to return as well, not really worth it to just ship back one $12 filter.

Hey guys, if you've got a 2022 or newer MB, you're good with the Mahle oil filter, just gotta make sure you get the right part number for your engine config. I've been using the 154 302 07 02 for my C43 without any issues.
