get in line for new SL ?

'The order bank is open' according to the dealer. Obviously they don't have pricing and allocations .
Is it a good idea to put deposit to get in line?
Did you do it?

We have always been able to customer order cars without deposit. This will not a limited production car but I understand that markets vary...

No on both counts. Should have a PO by next week. The person who ordered an SL55 before me has a production date of late Feb. My guess is that I'm looking at $170+ at least. We'll find out in short order.

I've also put down a deposit. Delivery date unknown, of course; price unknown but dealer promises MSRP.

I assume the dark light package is smoked headlights and tail lights? What does the extended night package include?

DY2 has deleted the Performance Seats so the CCBs can be ordered if DY2 is specified. I'll update my revised build.

I think that September is just a placeholder. My salesman believes it will get moved into April or May. My build is in the second US allocation.

I was offered an allocation but with a significant upcharge. Not sure if that’s the norm now. Are the people placing orders paying an ADM?
