So know the run in period is requirement per manual for race start, but I was just testing pretty much every mode and tried to get it to allow race start to engage (was going to back off) but I get error.

im guessing there is a hard coded mileage check on it? Anyone else been able to race start on theirs during break in period. Again I'm not trying to do it - the error pops before I hit 1000 rpm.

Yes, it's hardcoded. RACE START is only available after the vehicle has been broken in. Should say so in the owner's manual.

The SL owner's manual is not online yet, but this is what it says in my C63S owner's manual. Pretty clear to me.

Beautiful SL, Monza Grey looks fantastic, especially in bright lighting. I recommend you put some miles on that beast, and then you'll be able to enjoy race start!

thanks. In the sl manual it says "run in" and there's no page reference. The sl manual looks like it was printed last minute and lots of stuff not in there. Guessing it's a draft copy.
