Thanks! There was another Red SL55 there with the black Y-spoke wheels going to someone out of town; 12 miles on the odo; time to drive before the weather changes

I don't mind the painted A-pillar but this was likely done to visually have the car maintain a lower appearance.

I thought the Red with black wheels looks amazing and thats the combo you see most often with the red. I just have a preference for the silver wheels combo. Not as many with it.

You are a lucky man My SL 63 was delivered to the dealer Aug 29th ( early with parts missing ) so it could be registered in time to escape Canada's new 20% Luxury Tax on vehicles over $100,000. The missing parts which would have kept it in fresh air at the Halifax port was allowed to do the same thing at my dealers. Its currently along with two others waiting parts to make them "roadworthy"--Meanwhile because registration occured Mercedes has my money and required full insurance coverage while it sits awaiting the pleasure of Mercedes Canada to forward the missing parts so as to allow delivery--Answer is after over a month is--"Well we saved you over $20,000 in tax"--nice they have the use of my money in the meantime. Shamefull--snow is coming up here.
At least the Tortufo diamond quilt interior made it thro and no equipment deletions. Just leaving on 2 weeks holiday--maybe by the time I am back.

I like the new SL but can’t get over the price. It’s over $250K in Canada, and actually more expensive in the US. That’s crazy, even in this era of high inflation. It’s basically priced like a 911 Turbo Cab.
Mercedes has a history of over-pricing these cars. What happens is they end up sitting on dealer lots after the initial demand has peaked. That’s not good for anyone — well except the buyer who’s paying 20%+ off sticker. The same thing happened to AMG GTs in 2019…

Less than 100 miles but so far no issues. Dont really notice wind noise at highway speed; got to about 85. Its a great ride; hoping to get the xpel and ceramic coating soon. I do wish that the windows would also close with the keyfob when closing the roof; maybe that can be coded to Euro spec???

20% over $100k or 10% of it all is not
$10,000--Believe mine--(which is with another 2 still not deliverable) was as I recall about $226k
