A comment rather than a complaint: even in Central Texas heat, fan speed 7 is too strong for anything other than adjusting for a parked hot car. Even in our heat the car quickly cools too much to leave on. But then level 6 is substantially lower so the interior gets hot again because it doesn't move enough air.
It would be very welcome if there was a level 6.5 to split the difference. I wonder if there could be an easy software fix to recalibrate those speeds, versus it being purely mechanical so not easily changed.
Just passing 16,000 miles and still loving the car so this is a pretty minor issue relatively.
I am in Houston and concur 100%. The Ac also seems to have a mind of its own for the first 5 minutes from start, I only have just over 1000 miles so maybe I just don’t understand how it works yet.

Don’t the two of you realize that level 7 is for knuckle heads like me who drive around in the Atlanta heat and humidity with the roof and windows down most of the time.
Also 16k miles on the odometer is impressive. I’m approaching 2k.
An easy fix could be to manually adjust the airvents. As you twist them, you can have them all the way to close. That could set your 6.5 If you put all of the driver side ones to 50-70%

Good suggestion! I need to check if all the vents are fully opened. I still find it odd how MB have it set this way. Hope they have a future software corrects this.
Why are you bothering with manually adjusting the fan speed? Set it to Auto, pick your temperature and let the system do what it does best. It's an automatic climate control system, keyword automatic. Works like your thermostat in your house. It'll come on and move enough cool air through the cabin to keep the set temperature. Don't try to beat the system.
I would like it if it did that,but it doesn't. It is not very sensitive to temperature fluctuations.
Not sure what you mean by that. In every MB I've ever driven and other brand with automatic AC for that matter I just set it to between 70F and 72F and Auto and it maintains that temp in the cabin, regardless of how hot it is outside. I may get hot in my seat sitting on the leather, but that's what the seat ventilation is for.
However, I did have an issue in a recent new C300 loaner. Somehow the AC wasn't actually in Auto even though on the screen it showed Auto. I hate the new touchscreen UI. Just doesn't work right and is a pain to operate while driving. Don't remember what I did, but it eventually started to work correctly. At first it wasn't cooling as it should and I noticed the interior warming up, but after punching Auto for a few times it eventually seemed to start working correctly. Maybe your AC isn't actually working correctly as it should.
