This is great to see. The added level of personalization is exactly what they need in their bid to go upmarket. I’m sure this won’t be cheap to get done but goes a long way in helping them steal from Porsche’s client base. I’m sure it won’t be to the same extent, but every little bit helps!

Yes, Ola wants MB to compete with Porsche, not compete with BMW and Audi...
Personalization and QC are the ways to go, not the all-electric offensive and the 4-cylinder 63s
I think it's about time MB is offering a greater variety of interior and exterior colors along with other options. I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a SL63e(or whatever the hybrid assist is called) and I want a white exterior and interior with a BLUE soft top. Apparently a BLUE soft top is an upcharge!!!!! Is blue more valuable than black or red?? Is the word "MANUFAKTUR" code for additional cash extrication for zero reason??
Yeah well, all this hoorah about Munufactur this and that is bull. Ordered a well dressed SL and supposed to be built end of September. Now advised quilted premium Manufactur upholstery delayed for all colors. New production late February. Everything is wonderful except it’s not available. Oh, and yes, the blue tops are dyed with unicorn sweat so that’s the reason for up charge. Geez!
Now that I'm aware that blue tops are derived from the exceedingly rare(expensive) blue unicorn sweat, I'm ok with the upcharge because the rare blue sweat unicorns are endangered.

Edit: Well, jokes aside yes since they offered all these options it would be nice that they actually make it available. I mean I am glad there are now more colour options now, hopefully these special colour production can catch up soon.

I really don't get the point of this version of the SL.

People continuously fall for the lipstick on a pig (Like amg badges on downrated vehicles to make amg affordable to the masses). While I personally love this car it does get a lot of heat from the old timers. Paint colors, and better leather used to come on even standard vehicles so Mercedes is trying to rope people back in that actually do like individuality and luxury… if only these packages removed the ****ty interior screens and emissions nannies we would be onto something.
oh, and it’s also because a lot of young people fall for the “it’s rare” BS so they can gloat to their friends on paying above market for something that used to be standard…fools and their money
