How far back is your seating position? If it’s back past a certain point it won’t do it for “safety” reasons. Try moving the seat a fair amount forward and try again.

I just noticed that the driver seat does not auto-move forward when I pull the cord to lean the seat forward.
The passenger seat does but not the driver seat.
Makes me think that it might be a sensor/mechanical issue since it affecting both functions.
I guess I will need to bring it in for service to address.

Finally brought my SL in for service. They had to "normalize" the front seat which fixed the problem.
Apparently sometimes the computer looses an understanding of the seat position and needs to be re-calibrated.

My driving position is quite forward, so no issue with the seat being too way back. One I stop the car and open the door the chair will move out properly, making excelent space for easy exit/entry.
But the come back is always random between 2 positions: one that I actually want and one more that it’s nowhere in the setup. I mean my memory seats are all (just going crazy) on my one favorites position. I am the only driver, nobody touches my car.
I erased the quick setup setting (the one with how tall I am), I erased my profile, nothing.
Then I did a total reset with my dealer, erased all users (just mine was there haha), and so on. Still, the stupid chair won’t always come up properly after I jump in the car.
I never had a car with that function that didn’t work. Never. Cheapest VW works properly.
That is the my only issue with the car, no big deal, but it’s making me crazy every time I enter the car. Cause the Exit works properly, hehe ..
I had an Audi E-tron GT, same thing happened until I figured it out: the seat position was actually saved in the key, not in the 1-2-3 memory seat buttons. Once I saved the needed position INTO THE KEY it was all OK. Everytime worked for my key. And everytime it moved properly also for the second key (as a different position was saved).
For now I ended up using the function just for the steering wheel, not for the chair. Stupid stupid thing.

My Easy Entry/Exit is acting up lately. The car seems to go into a deeper sleep overnight. In the morning the door handles do not present themselves unless I rub the handles. The steering wheel lowers, but my driver's seat moves forward about an inch and then stops. If I hit the preprogrammed memory button on the door, the seat goes to the correct position. For the rest of the day, the handles and seats operate correctly. I did not have this problem until the last 2 months or so. It's more of a nuisance and not worth bringing into the dealer for a special visit.

Just tried it but it did not help. Thanks for the suggestion
