Latest Recall fuel pump/wire harness
Hello,
My car goes into the recall tomorrow and I was wondering how serious of a recall is it and how intrusive/excessive the work on the car is?
Do they disassemble the whole car for that recall? remove seats? floor mat? dashboard?
can some one shed some light please?

If you go to the NHTSA website you can pop in your VIN and get all the details on the recalls. The manufacturer has to post a remedy that is publicly available. I’ve followed this one closely because the stop sale was preventing me from taking delivery of my car. Long and short is that this is a quick and easy fix. Software update took way longer.

'22 SL63, '22 Tesla Model S LR and X LR
1. Fuel pump
2. Alternator / Starter wiring inspection
3. Software update for rear spoiler.
4. Trickle charger.
Plus I got a 1y service and the SOS disabled light taken care of. For that they had to remove the center console.

No, they did not install the trickle charger. The technical service bulletin only requires them to give you a brand new boxed trickle charger and to put itin the trunk. How you use it is up to you. I already had one which I occasionally use. I just attach it to the two designated places in the engine compartment on the passenger side by the windshield washer fluid door. They also did the fuel pump, impeller repair and inspect for the starter wiring inspection. My rear spoiler already had an update. But there appears to have been another update, which I noticed installed, when I am using Apple Maps, the destination time, and the number of minutes remaining is also at the top of the map window. So it is now in two places.

what's this about a trickle charger? is this for a specific recall? mine is in for the fuel impeller and wiring harness. didn't see anything about the rear spoiler, but i have gotten warnings on the dash about it malfunctioning in the past.

It is a technical service bulletin from Mercedes for the trickle charger. They will definitely take care of that. The rear spoiler difficulties will be taken care of with a software update.
