Carbon Ceramic brakes, anyone have them?

Looking at ordering a ‘24 SL55 and thinking about adding the carbon ceramic brake option. Yes, it’s a lot of $$$ but my understanding is that they produce virtually zero brake dust and should last over 50k miles of normal daily driving. Anyone have them and can vouch for this and let me know if there are any reasons not to get them other than the extra cost? Squealing noises when cold, etc?

I don’t have the carbon ceramics, but I can tell you that the amount of brake dust from the regular brakes is crazy.

On previous AMG GTs I had regular brakes and the dust is awful. With my new SL63 I got the ceramic option because of the brake dust on the two previous vehicles - a GTS and a GTC. The ceramic brakes have zero brake dust, do not squeak at all and brake quite well. 100% satisfied.

I have them. They're amazing at stopping power (never drove an SL with regular brake so can't speak to the difference), but the lack of brake dust is incredible. I have regular brakes on my X7, which has black wheels too and those get caked with dust instantly, and it's a pain to wipe those things. If you can afford them, I recommend it.

I have them on my 22 SL63 and they are great! Stopping power is wild, brake dust is basically zero. Mine do squeak a little when they are cold, but not badly, and once warmed up they are quiet. Also they look amazing in the wheel. Overall, I highly recommend them.

I also ended up with CC's on my '22 SL63. No complaints so far. No dust, no squeaking on mine, even in winter, and the pedal feel is great.
