Got a msg on my screen the other day advising I needed to redeem my 2k voucher by 1NOV24. As a second owner I don’t have a voucher via email. Contacted current dealer where I am getting car serviced and they referred me to MBUSA. Contacted MB for help and they referred me to current dealer sales for help. Dealer I bought car from was a Honda store so they know nothing about a voucher. Question is does voucher go with car as previous owner can’t use it? Anyone else dealt with this?

Are you sure the message said “redeem” by 1 Nov 2024? I understood that 1 Nov 24 was deadline to complete all open recalls to be eligible for voucher but owners had until next end of next year to redeem the voucher.
The car is only 1 year old and purchased at Stevenson Hendrick Honda in Wilmington. My local dealer says all recalls have been done including one after I bought it. It was done at Hendrick’s Charlotte MB dealer. You may be right about the msg as I was in a hurry and the msg disappeared quickly. I am trying to figure out if the voucher goes with the car and how do I get it. Haven’t received a call back from local MB dealer after they were contacted by MBUSA.

I, too, am a second owner but purchased my 2022 SL55 as a CPO from a MB dealer in Raleigh. Currently having it serviced by the Greenville, SC MB dealer. Both MBUSA and the Greenville dealer have indicated that my vehicle is voucher eligible when they pull it up in their system, however, I don’t know if it’s because it was a CPO or purchased at a MB dealer or both. I have not yet attempted to use the voucher. Been waiting to see if there is another recall that only the dealer can effect before trying to use it.
Maybe I need to see if I am “voucher eligible” from local dealer. So far all communication with local dealer indicates nothing in the system. However, maybe not looking for it ie not their problem.
Found the msg in Mercedes me
Your Mercedes-Benz SL may have open recalls and service campaigns. As a valued Mercedes-Benz owner, you should have received our offer of a $2,000 voucher in the mail. To redeem, complete all open recalls and/ or service campaigns on your SL vehicle at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer by Nov 1, 2024 (performed FREE OF CHARGE).

So your car is voucher eligible but you don’t have a voucher?

Yes, my car is voucher eligible but I have not received the “mailer” with the voucher. MBUSA told me over a month ago that it may take awhile but dealer should be able to take care of it without mailer. I have doubt zi ever receive the mailer. I have yet to try to redeem at dealership.

Supposedly the Honda dealer GM likes to get an exotic car every once in a while to drive. He drove it for a week before I found it on the internet. Got a super great deal on a less than 1 year old car. Also gave me top dollar for my 2015 sl400 trade in.Originally Posted by Streamliner
