I have a 2023 SL55 with performance trim. The question relates to the small indicator in the upper right hand corner of the main driver’s display. Can someone explain what the different colors of the different elements are telling me? I know the rear spoiler is indicated here, but what are the lines under the front and rear wheels indicating? What else is being communicated here? I’ve searched the operators manual and cannot find anything other than the ‘aerodynamic feature’ which I don’t think my car has. See photo below.
Tire temperatures. If blue, then the tires are too cold for hooligans and red means they are too hot. There's also orange for when the tires start to get hot. It takes the guess work out of knowing which temperatures mean that the tires have enough grip. In my car I always have the temperature/pressure display up in the instrument cluster, so I know when the car is up to temp and what level of grip I can expect from the tires based on their temperature. The colors of the tires goes orange then red as they get hot, similar to the simplified display you have.

I like this screen layout. Wish I have it. Current version of layout does not include this.
Yeah, I don't like where they've taken the current cluster layouts. They've dumbed it down and made it less configurable. Instead you have a few different screens you can choose between, but it changes the entire layout instead of just having one layout that allows different information to be shown left and right as in my case. I can always have the center rev gauge and on the left/right I can show anything from the navigation map, to tire pressure/temps, trip and performance data. I drove the new GT 63 coupe on the track in Germany last year and I found the cluster terrible. It's become more of a gimmick than focusing on clearly displaying important information front and center. I kept running into the rev limiter in manual mode, because the animated rev gauge and even the shift lights were more distracting than helpful, so I had a hard time knowing where I am in the rev band while at the same time keeping my eyes on the track. Even if digital, a dial for the revs as I have with the current gear in the center and speed below is hard to beat. Don't need the rev gauge to be reinvented as a bar chart or flashy animation that is harder to read than a gauge with a needle.
BTW, recommended tire pressure (cold) is 31/32 (front/rear). Take the recommendations from inside the gas door. The car will grip better at those temps.
The small indicator you refer to is for the rear wing. It shows that the wing is extended to the first level. The display turns red when it is further extended to max. You can test this by using the rotary dial on the left hand side of your steering wheel and press it until you see the rear wing signal. By clicking on the outside of the rotary dial button you can see how the wing extends and shows on the indicator. Hope this helps.

I understand the rear wing indication. My question was with regard to the lines under the tires. One said that the the color indicated blue for cold tires and red for operating temp.
Acceler8 on YouTube said that it indicates whether the car is in rear wheel drive only or all wheel drive. I would like to find a definitive factory description of this indicators operation.

On my car the line on the rear line under the tire changes color depending on how far the wing is extended. The front line never changes color on my car.
