Wind Deflector Replacement

I just purchased a CPO 2023 SL63. When I put the wind deflector in it seems like a very loose fit. Is there anyway to extend the center arms for a better fit or a replacement that fits better. Thanks.

Mine fits very tightly. I suspect you are not putting it in exactly correctly. Is there something in the owners manual to give you specific directions? It is the same as I had in my previous GTC. The installation has to be done exactly right and at first, it's a little awkward until you get the hang of it. Now I can take it out in a couple of seconds and install with in about 10. Although for me here, living in Southern California, I just leave it in almost all the time.

California John,

Thanks for the information. I installed it per the manual. It’s not going anywhere, but the shoulder of the plug is approximately 1/8” per side from the wall. Sloppy fit.

For some reason, my description did not copy into my post along with my photograph from the owners manual. The fact that your fitment is different from mine is the crucial step that you are missing. You'll notice that the sides of my windscreen anchor in a flush manner, whereas yours show a red plug on either side. If you look at the photograph from the owners manual, you'll notice that it says to pull handle in the direction of the arrow until the red marking is no longer visible. And in your case, that red marking is quite visible on either side. So once you pull it until it is no longer visible then you push the windscreen down and anchor it into the side - once it is pushed down and anchored you let go of the handle and the red plug springs into place with a solid anchoring. Once you get the hang of it, it will be simple and be second nature and the windscreen will be solidly anchored.

Very helpful. I had read the manual, but apparently not careful enough. Did that and it fits well now. Thank you.
