Maybach SL 680 ADM Pricing

Hi - I negotiating real time with a dealer on a white Mayback SL 680. MSRP is $232k, he started at $50k over, I'm down to $35k over. I'm new to MB so I don't know much about pricing. It seems high, puts me in Aston Marin territory. Any recent buyers can give me some perspective. Thanks

SL65(R231), SL65(R230), 600SL, 560SL(86), 560SL(89),250SL(68),250SL(67), 190SL, 300SL(GW)
Just like the regulart R232 introduction.............dealers thought ( pretended??) they had a big demand. WRONG!!!! In the beginning it was quite common that dealers were asking $50K over.......it was short lived.

Refuse any ADM, hang on a few months you'll get a big discount.

Agree with Mike P.
Tell them you will take the deal, if they reimburse you the full 1st year depreciation.
That will repay the $50,000.00 over MSRP, and refund another $50,000.00 to you, once you get the full value of the depreciation reimbursement.
Or, tell them you will buy it after they put a couple thousand miles on it for test drives in the first year, by potential customers that don’t end up buying it.
After about 100 customers walk off after the test drive, they will be a lot more agreeable.

I just find it ridiculous they still charge ADMs.

Get the Aston. Just the interior blows away the SL, even the Maybach version. The Aston is universally recognized as an ultra luxury car. The Maybach SL is just a tarted up MB and in my humble opinion, quite a laughable one.

Aston might be on the sporty side though, while Maybach.... That said, an SL nowadays seems to be about sporty anyways.

The area I live in has a Porsche dealer who always gets an ADM and if you don't want to pay it too bad because they have a lot of other people lined up who do. The same thing with a Ferrari dealers, Lamborghini dealers, McLaren and others close to where I live. The Lamborghini dealers sell every car they can get as do the Ferrari dealers and McLaren. They charge ADM because they can get it. Simple as that. We may shake our heads and say, "Tsk Tsk!" It is just supply and demand.

Yeah, the folks who have “GOT IT” and love to flaunt it, are the bread & butter to the high end dealers. I’m so glad that I have zero interest in such things. No exotic cars, Rolex watches or Louis Vuitton for me. We here in South Orange County have enough “ADM’s” to deal with, just by living here—but the absolutely glorious weather pretty much makes it all worthwhile.

what do you mean that you didn’t want to buy into the inflated pricing of Rolex? You didn’t wanna lose $20,000 on the watch you had to have to show on Instagram in 2022. A dealer markup may be acceptable on something that has demand or in an area that has increased demand/wealth but as you referenced earlier in the thread, that’s not these SL’s. Fortunately, for now, some parts of the free market still exist, and we don’t have to buy from our local dealers unless of course, that would leave us with nothing to talk about at the local country club. I couldn’t imagine being that type of braggadocios **** loser. Real wealth is silent.

like you, I’d choose the Aston.

In support of Streamliner’s outlook, I roamed the roads of California from the Tehachapi pass, to LA, Santa Monica, Pepperdine, up the coast to Monterey, Cannery Row, Carmel, Seaside, Marina, Santa Cruz, San Jose, the Imperial Valley, San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, Hunter Liggett, Salinas, Salinas valley, Bakersfield, Paso Robles, Chico, Redding, El Centro, and a lot of places in between.
I soaked up the climate, the sunshine, the views and vistas.
I don’t regret a bit of it, but the way things are now, I would not go back to it.
It would probably be on top of my list of the most beautiful states, and close to the most beautiful areas in the world, if it were not for how the libs are doing everything they can overtly, and by incompetence to destroy it.
Colorado is a close second for beauty being destroyed by libs.

Have you seen a Maybach SL in person? It’s much more impressive than an Aston Martin Vantage. We sell both. Ha. Also a much more refined ride, I have both brands so can have them side by side for anyone interested!

I do believe that most of the folks who frequent this site actually live on the Planet EARTH and the idea of paying ADM is not something that will be well received. Please let us know WHEN you start discounting OFF of MSRP.

All our orders are MSRP; ADM’s aren’t my decision but the dealer and the market. If no one pays than they go for sticker; just like anything else

ADM charges worked sooooo well for the R232. Discounts start at 7%. Why would someone EVER pay an ADM on the Pimp Edition SL?? My previous prediction upon seeing the Limited Edition Pimp SL was the series would be a spectacular failure.

If there was any real demand, this dealer wouldn't be trying to hustle 2 on this site. Where are all those eager buyers willing to pay ADM???? I'd love to own the Pimp Edition but I look silly with all those thick gold chains

I have one on order for $75,000.00 over, only because I ordered curb feelers, ON ALL 4 MUDGUARDS.

After reading about MB2Timer's I decided to change my order for my Limited Edition Pimp SL................the dealer wants to add a mere $76K ADM but that includes glow in the dark curb feelers. I scored!!!

These comments are killing me hahaha. If anyone truly wants one of ours I’m sure I can get you a fair number. I was throwing out 35k over because that’s what OP wanted to pay. Curb fellers can be negotiated in hahaha

Most people on this forum ( I have lurked for 5 years and just had to post here) couldn't afford a clapped out Diesel 190 but they opine "brilliantly" about a Maybach Mercedes. Enjoy your silver car, fat ugly wife and 2000 sf rent home jerks.
