R107 Steering Wheel Wood trim

I would like to swap out the steering wheel for something a little more aesthetic. I have been in consideration of a Nardi 360mm wood trim wheel, but perhaps there are others to consider that are more economical. Any ideas? Used ones are OK.

I found this place that will take your existing wheel & make it look like wood. As well as repair the existing rubber/plastic parts. There is an example of a Mercedes wheel in the Picture Gallery

https://craftcustoms.com/

I have not priced anything with them as I'm not to that point in my restoration. Reply back with any pricing info you get.

well there is a loaded question! I looked at the Nardi Wood wheel ND Classic - 5061.36.3000. It sells for $338 which prompted me to projectile emesis. I suppose a used one could be $100 + postage? Particularly as I am not located in the UK but in the USA (your cousins) based in New York. The shipping might get a bit pricey. My wife will be in London however Friday and Saturday for her job, so there is a chance, however slim, that I could persuade her to pick it up with cash in hand.

By the way you have a nice R107 there. Well done. I love the sporting upholstery.

if you buy mine new it is quite expensive so it would cost £460 so your estimate of £100 is a bit off. to buy a decent boss for a steering wheel does not come cheap

Doh! OK I am open to proposal. Are you in London? That might save on the postage if wifey is willing to pick it up. Hub adaptor included?

Understood. So let me know your clearance price. I've got broad shoulders. And I think the postage should be manageable.
