SL/R107: looking for some info on these older cars.

looking for some info on these older cars.
Not very knowledgeable about these older cars. From what I understand, a SL with a removable roof is a "R107" body, while a fixed roof SL Coupe is a "C107". How rare is a C107 SLC Coupe 450 (V8) with a manual Transmission and no sunroof?

A 450SLC manual trans would be very rare and not factory. Not worth much either. It is more likely to be a rebadged 350SLC which could be a manual. Not rare. What year is it supposed to be?

A 350 will be a grey market vehicle. Depending on how it was modified to meet US standards it might still have the Euro bumpers. 350 has a M116 engine while 450 is a M117. 350 will not have a Mercedes public VIN plate on the A pillar visible through the windshield.

looks exactly like this car (same bumpers, engine, and houndstooth interior) . Only difference is odometer gauges in KMph, manual trans, and BBS-style mesh wheels. this car has a VIN number riveted to the a-pillar that is visible through the windshield.

It's a Euro. Is the VIN plate Mercedes or home made? Post a picture. Does the VIN match the one stamped int the upper radiator cross support? Does the number begin 107.043 or 107.044?

I called mercedes. They didnt have much info because they said it is a euro/grey market car. They said its a 350 v8, although it is listed as a 450. Confirmed that it is a factory manual car. vin starts wtih 107023. seller does not have any engine bay photos showing anything in front of the radiator, so I cannot confirm matching VIN numbers. VIN on the a-pillar appears to be OEM and not homemade.

Nice looking car. That spoiler was original equipment on the 450SLC 5.0, 500SLC, 500SL and 560SL. Also used on some 80s AMG models. Front spoiler looks like AMG also.

Stamped into the right of the upper cross support on the right side and riveted to a plate on the left side of the same cross member. There is a sight chance of a build strip under the jack base. Unsure of when they started putting it there.
