380SL Throttle problem

I have a 1983 Mercedes 380SL R107. I'm having problems with the accelerator linkage unit. The ball that goes on the firewall that provides tension fell off. I ordered a new one but it looks like I'm missing something on the other end of the linkage rod. If anyone could send me a picture of a diagram showing the linkage to understand what might be missing or pictures of your 380SL? Any diagrams from service manual would be great. Thanks for the help

Attached is a picture of my '85, should be the same as your '83. Note the clip on the end of the shaft, perhaps this is what you are missing. There is a plastic ball on both ends, and the spring maintains pressure to hold everything in place.

Here is a link to a parts list for the linkage:

Here is a link to the service manual:

Here are some more pictures of the linkage on my car. Note that the service manual info does not match my car. The linkage shown for the 107 on the diagram (top) is correct except for the longitudinal shaft #3, my car has a shaft like the one shown for the 126 (bottom).

I have the same need for these bushings and the same configuration as shown in your pictures for my 1884 380SL. It seems I need two #2 and two #2a. Great help, thank you

The parts lik linkage is a bit confusing. It seems I need a sleeve and a bushing for each end of the shaft. What is the part index/part # in that diagram? Thanks

I found the part numbers for the bushing and the sleeve. eBay was a bit expensive, Parts geek was crazy expensive for the shipping cost. best option I found was autohaustaz.com part# 126000085 Linkage Bushing; Accelerator Shaft Ball Bushing & Insert Kit. They sell both as a kit, bushing and sleeve for $5.29 and only paid $10 for shipment. thanks for all of your help
