What does the SL65 sound like?
Does anyone know where i could find some desent quality footage of a E65-S65 or SL65 under hard acceleration, or exhaust sound maibe?

Id love to hear what they sound like

SL65, E55T, Pending S65
The 65 engines are quite a bit quieter than an SL55 or E55. The note at idle is very low and soft.

It is my one complaint about the car. Under hard acceleration it is better but still not the throaty growl of the 55's

My partner just went from a sl55 to a sl65 and says the only thing he misses is the sound of the 55 when the top is off. On the other hand he says its just stupid fast.

I second that, I miss the exhaust sound but the sl65 is stupid fast, scary and fun....

I had my SL55 side by side with a 65 in the valet lot next to Matsuhisa on La Cienega in L.A. I have to say at idle, the 55 sounds deeper and more throaty...

More like the god of thunder gargling with Listerine. The turbo's dampen the sound whereas the kompressor enhances the sound.

The SL65 has more cylinders therefore the crankcase is more balanced than the 55s. This might be the reason the sound is softer than the 55s.
