Renntech SL65 - 11.40 @ 126

... after the second 11.4 pass they told me to slow down or get booted. I will do a couple FAST runs at the end of the evening if I get the chance.

I backed this run up with an 11.38, 11.40, 11.41 and 11.44. The car's got more in it, but I need to tweak the program first - it shifts too late and hits the rev limiter in the 1-2 shift, robbing a couple MPH and maybe a 10th. I'll assemble the best-filmed runs into a montage ("Mercedes Carnage 3") -- and I'll be back at the strip with a new RENNtech program soon enough.

Sweet Treynor. The cameraman was killing me though. Any chance you could swap out the seats for a weekend or even just take out the passenger seat just for ****s and giggles so we could see the difference with some weight reduction?

Gosh I wish they sold Treynor t-shirts...least a friggin golf hat.

Fastest til now was a CL600 running 11.440.

Yep, I believe I'm the fastest & quickest for the moment. I'm planning on going back in two weeks with the new RENNtech program if they have it ready by then.

The DRs did really well this time. They spun if I brake-boosted significantly, but otherwise hooked dead. I still can't do a serious burnout; the ECU cuts power after a couple seconds... more things to tweak.

He was running drag radials on 18" rear rims as oposed to the 19" standard fronts.

No drag radials for 19" rims.....

can you put it in dyno mode? I run my 55 in dyno mode all the way.

thats what i'm talking about w/ the rennteck ecu mod you might not be able to though. holy crap you'd be hiting 10. 5's or 8's!

RENNTech would have no problem cranking more HP into the 65 if the transmission could hold the power. An ECU upgrade alone with disgregard to reliability can easily yeild over 1000lb ft of torque in teh 65s, hell, even on the 600s. I think the main constriant here is the transmission. Mayby RENNTech has a new program that allows peak power to come in at a lower RPM rather then just "add" more power.

you'll blow the transmission to peices with nitrous.... now a nitrous fogger on the intercooler might be a good option for consistancy if its an air/air intercooler.

You guys know if the 65s have an air/air or air/water i/c.??
