ABC underhood question

Hola all,
Weather permitting, I'm headed back to the dragstrip this Saturday to try to break into the 11.2's . Someone suggested ~one year ago that I pull the "ABC" pump's electrical actuator plug to disable the system entirely and get more weight transfer. I unfortunately do not have a service manual; can some kind soul either point me to the ABC plug, or provide a picture/scan which shows where it is located underhood?

Thanks, and wish me luck!

Ben

I can't help either, but if it is not too much trouble, can you see what effect putting the car in C (comfort) mode has on your 1/4 mile time? Want to know what effect a 2nd gear launch will have.

If you unhook the ABC it will set all kind of codes and possibly even put the car into a "limp" mode. Don't do it.

The pump for the ABC system is the same pump for the car's entire hydraulic system. If the pump is disabled, your SL will be sitting on it's tailipipes, not to mention the loss of all hydraulics in the car. If the ABC computer is disconnected, the car won't move.

Try some different combinations- roof open with windows up, suspension set to comfort at it's highest level, etc.
