I know that there are alot of AMG fans including myself, but lets face reality, The Dodge Viper Venom 1000hp will kill the SL65 in a flash. It will even kill the SLR without no question. You can get a Dodge Viper Venom for 125K-130K convertible and will eat any car over 300K . What are your thoughts ?

my thoughts are that you shouldn't have quit school...and ghetto isnt cool anymore. I've said this before....tub a Nova with a stroker and you have a 9 second car that will kill most anything on the road, and you only spent a few bucks compared to anything we drive on this board.

You can get a 5.0 Mustang for 5K, a Great Single Turbo Kit for another 5K, a Fully built 351 for 5 k, and you would kick a henneseys *** all day. At the end of the day its still a mustang though. Just like at the end of the day the viper is a car that is known for having its side skirts catch on fire from the exhaust of it. SL65>>>Viper.

Hey, keep it clean. Name calling wiill bring the intellect level of the forum down and that's the last thing we need. This place should be here for smart discussions about cool cars

And my two cents is that the two cars are quite different. The Viper Venom is not a stock car if I'm not mistaken? Therefore you're already comparing a modded one to a stock one, which kind of defeats the purpose of the coonversation.

Second of all, the Viper interior is not a match for the SL interior (in my opinion, so please don't flame me for this if you prefer the Viper, mmm kay). Granted, I haven't driven a Viper, but I've sat in one and watched them being driven. The interior quality, while not bad, is not an all leather type of an SLR, and the SLR interior beats it hands down in comfort (once again, just my opinion). You'll probably get more goodies in an SL65, and then there's the look of the car.

If you want a great drag car, I suppose the Viper will do the job very well, but how well does it handle in the corners? From what I've read, it can be quite a handful to take around a track...

ehm, anyway...

Drive the Venom as a daily driver, and drive the SL as a daily driver... at the end of 15 years, let's see which car retains its classiness, value, and appeal.

Better yet, let's see if the Venom will last that long!

IMO, the Venom will look nothing more (or a bit better) than a Dodge Aries (in the early 90's) and see if that compares to a 1990 R129 SL.

On his list of cars he has an 05 SL55, S500, E500, CL500, and a C230? With someone who drives 100k cars up and down the streets at night what in the hell is he doing with a C230? Nothing wrong with having a C230, but makes you wonder which car he really has, or doesn't have..

Cant really go off that. I know tons of rich people who drive Corollas, F150s. I know what you were getting at though.

Another pointless comparison from fantasyland!

BFD. An AA/F FC will beat a Viper Venom from 0-350mph.

I will take the VIPER over the SL65. But its me, its Russia, there are too many 65s here in Moscow. VIPER is true killing machine. Very mean supercar!

Yeah the SL65 will get smoked vs Viper Venom 1000hp. If you think the SL65 will beat that your crazy. As for the cars I drive, I dont like driving my 100K cars all the time. The Sl55 i use it in the summer or nice days. All my other cars are daily driving. C230 thats my run and about car. I mostly drive that alot. Thats all

See, it doesn't matter that we're arguing things that aren't even in the same class, much less have the same amount of wheels.

We can still argue it.

My motorcycle is a cool neon green. DancingBenzo's.. top that!

LMAO....you can have all the money in the world. You can drive anything. It doesnt change who you are. The only correct thing you said was that im a kid....a 35 y/o kid.

T

edit: And id bet you might be wrong about who will have more money. But that is another idiotic topic you might want to discuss with someone who cares. As for 100K cars....i drive my X5 cuz it's one of the safest cars on the road with 8 air bags, 4 near my brain, which is what i DO care about; i dont drive my X5 cuz it costs 65K or even 5K. And in case you cant read my sig, im in a place where it doesnt matter....Miami....GO HEAT!!!
