Price for 2006 SL55?
I live in Manhattan, New York, and I am planning to get a 06 SL55 recently. I visited a dealer today, and a saleman told me there is no discount for 06 model now. Is it true? If not, how much discount can I get from the MSRP? Thanks for your help!!

Cappuccino,
Don't know if you went to Manhattan MB. They are a factory dealership and will deal. Let me suggest you reach out to my friend Arthur Kaye 212-629-1459. you'll be treated well
and he'll give you the best deal he can. Tell him Roger from Montauk sent you.
Rgds

Instead
A lot of people say the would not pay sticker for a car.
Ask the people who actually bought how their purchases were handled.
I suspect 55, 600 and 65's will most always be at sticker unless you get lucky and find one on a dealers lot that they want to get rid of. Think about it, why not get all you can if you are going to order someone a car you don't already have. A lot of dealers can't even get them. I called my local dealer about a 600 and a 65, they said were not allocated a 65, could possibly get a 600. I moved on to another dealer.

I'm sure that cars on the floor/lot can be knocked down in price, the dealer will want to move them. The season for roadsters is a few months from ending here in the northern states and no dealer will want to keep too many through the winter.
Having one built for you is another story. They know they have you by the short & curlies. My SL55 had every option except the moon roof. I paid very close to sticker.

SL55 AMG
I test drove a '06 fully loaded and it was $140,000 with tax and tags. I found my '03 SL 55 loaded except for Distronic for $91,000 before tax and tags.

Thaks for all your information. I told a saleman that there are lots of my friends got $4000-5000 off the MSRP. Finally I ordered a SL55 with performance package, and I get $3000 off the MSRP. Although it is not the cheapest one, I think it is not a bad deal.
Just can't decide the black interior or red one?

i recently purchased an 06 sl55 with performance package for 3,500 off sticker. it was on the lot not ordered. the sales manager was very helpful with pricing but did state that he would get killed if he offered 4k off as i had asked for. good luck with yours when you get it.

SL65's in DC Metro area
I don't know if they are '05 or '06, but we have seen THREE SL65's this weekend while looking color options for a new SLK. (We think we want the Ash/Black interior and were hoping to see it before we ordered.) EuroMotors in Gaithersburg, MD had one (Black/Black) for MSRP $188K. American Service Center (Arlington, VA) had two - both were black but don't know about the interior. One was MSRP $191K and the other, I think, was MSRP $192-193.
Of course, after I win the Powerball tonight there will be one less available. :p
