SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Selling Help
I wish I knew what to tell you on moving the car. There are a limited number of people that can afford a SL65. I would keep posting on Ebay and traderonline, the right buyer will come along. Have you tried a dealer like http://www.parkplaceltd.com/?
you should list your mods. I believe the magazine article said that your car was kleemanized
The car is an SL500 - Kleemann Supercharger. Kleemann ECU Upgrade, Brabus Exhaust, Brabus Bodykit, SL55 Taillights, Black Grill, Kleemann Lowering Module, Ultrasueded headliner, Nav. Unit Modified to play DVD's, ALpine 6 disc DVD/cd changer, JL Audio Amps, Focal Speakers, JL SUb Custom Mounted Under Passenger Footwell, XM Satellite Radio, I-pod connection, HRE 847's - 20x 9 20 x 11 - Michelin PS2's, Brembos 8 piston front and 4 Piston Rear. Special order Red/Black interior.
CAr has everything and looks ridiculous. I have never seen an SL that has taken me out yet, and I think the mags agree - hence Game OVER!!!
Anyway I have over 60K invested and I'm only looking for 95K - Oh yeah it has 8K miles and is an '04
Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Selling a car with that many mods is going to be very tough. Your best bet is so to pull the supercharger, raise it back up, put some AMG wheels on it before trying to sell it.
As it sits right now you MIGHT get $5k more than what a SL sells for stock (used). Most people dont like buying a car with that many mods, especially a $100k one.
I had a 2004 G35 with supercharger, full HKS suspension, big brake kit, stereo etc... about $25k in mods... I listed the car for $40k and got offers from $33-37k.. I pulled off all the mods and returned the car to stock and sold it for $33k... I sold all the mods and got $14,000 for them...
So trust me, its better to sell the car as stock as possible. People do not value mods, and dealers are even worse. If you traded it you would get less auction price.. no dealer would put a car that modded on their lot.
Anyway I did take all the stuff off that car - I just hate doing this - I have to spend more money to take it all off - basically its a royal pain in the ***.
Anyway thanks for the input.
my cousin might b interested
he sold his clk500 about 4 months ago
it was moded like ur car, everything except the s/c
check it out under the clk picture thread, its white
As for the warranty -well a good friend of mine is the head tech at a dealer and he somehow takes care of me - (money talks ya know) So yes I have to pay off every service manager - However, last time I brought the car in some overzealous ****head rushed out to the car to register me in and I didn't realize that by him checking me in and not the service manager I knew it would be a disaster. Sure enough the ******* flagged the car and now its in the computer as modified - they wouldn't do the brake upgrade do to the Brembos and everything that I wanted fixed they blamed on the brakes - ridiculousness - so anyway I had to take it to another dealer and pay someone else off - basically anything can be overcome with $$$.
Case in point - I had an '02 CLK55 with a HPS (can u say junk) that fried my computer and other things - I paid a few hundred and they replaced everything and pretended the supercharger wasn't even there.
I don't know this to be true but I've heard in CA they are alot more tolerant of mods than in NY - here they are total ****s about it. They act like you just committed murder.
