For those who bought 2006 or 2007 SL models, I'm interested to know how you folks negotiated your deals ... Do you know how much over invoice you paid and what is the name of your dealer? I'm interested to hear specially from those who bought in Southern California but let me hear from those in other states though too. I'm actively shopping around for the best deal on an SL55 AMG (either 2006 or 2007).
Thanks,
bari

I think I take 1st on this one:
2005 SL600, brand new/never titled:
MSRP: $130,820
NEGOTIATED PRICE: $98,500+tax/tags
Only problem to date (knock on wood) was cylinder 3 misfired one time.

Best Deal
Hi all,
I just recently purchased my SL55 AMG, 31K miles, pristine condition with all the options possible, 72K. I think this has to be one of the best deals. If you're wondering if it's salvaged, it's not. I got it through a dealer auction. There's an auction in Riverside, CA where practically all the luxury cars get sold to other deals. I basically bought the car directly from Mercedes Benz Financial. It was a 3 year old leased car.

Enterprise rent-a-car!!!
there is factory incentives on SL's right now. up to $20K on some models, dealers dont have to declare this, so they sell it to you at "invoice" but are really making $20000.00 on you.
Do your shopping.

06 SL55 / 05 Range Rover
I purchased my 2006 model SL55 in December 2005...
Price paid was full MSRP + fees... I probably could have got a couple thousand knocked off the price - but needed to get it done and get the heck out of there...
