SL65 Carbon Fibre airbox
One of my friend who own a SL65 and want to buy the CF airbox like renntech one. But they are charging crazy money for it, any other CF box out there know for cheaper on the market or can someone build one for cheaper?? TIA

IMO your best off just gettin the renntech one. to make 1 would take forever and cost tons more than the renn. you would have to make many like vrus is doing to get the price down. i dont think to many sl65 owners are gonna want to R&D a new box, when you can just go buy one.

Yeah VRUS's airbox looks amazing. Plus he has already done all the R&D, I would pm him to inquire.

One of my friends PM'd me to let me know about this thread.. We have a 2005 SL65 right now that we are using to take measurements from and a CF airbox will be designed for it. I am going to get the stock boxes flow tested and then the engineer will work on a new CAD design.
As well as the airbox, I am going to get a set of my custom foam filters made for the SL65 also. They will greatly improve the airflow to the engine.
If it's feasible and there is enough interest, we'll build it.
I am trying to get an SL600 to see how similar they are and see if we can make something that will work on both cars.
The kit will comprise of: 2 airboxes, 2 airtubes, 2 custom foam filters, and an engine cover.
If this is something you guys are interested in let me know and I'll add your names to the list.

Put me down as number 1, I have been asking you for mods for ever now. Can you guys make some cosmetic parts for the sl as well. I have some ideas and maybe you can make those and being non performance they should be easy to make.
