Motorwerks in Commerce Twp Michigan did this for BMS' SL55. I saw it a couple of weekends ago and thought it looked great.

I've no idea of the cost, though. I'm sure BMS (Mike) or the guys at Motorwerks (Satish or Bill) could give you a sense of that.

I wouldn't mind the 030 bumper cover.

then you would have to get the side skirts as well.. otherwise it would look offplace due to the width of the 030 front bumper.. someone on this board did the upgrade without the sideskirts and it didn't look too good without the side skirts..

I'll check them out, they are not too far from me. Where is BMS (Mike) from? I'd like to check his out. I'm in Sterling Heights.

then you would want to get the new side skirts as well, otherwise it would look off, due to the wider side skirts on the sl65/sl55pp

You were wrong here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/showpost....&postcount=130

...and you are wrong again. Do a little research buddy, the following R230 models all come with the same side skirts from the factory:

SL500 w/ sport package
SL550 w/ sport package
SL600 w/ sport package
SL55 AMG
SL55 AMG w/ 030 performance package
SL65 AMG

...sorry to burst your bubble but there are too many clowns on these forums giving out incorrect information. Next time check your part #s.

Been in Florida for a few weeks. Yes I had my SL converted by Motorwerks to the 07 front bumper and grille for the 030 package. Call Motorwerks in Commerce Township for details and costs. Since it was the first in the U.S. it involved a few parts and sensors sent from Germany but it all worked out fine. If I knew how to post pics I would. Billy or Satish or Sunil have them and I'll try to get them to post for me.

might want to wait until the new front end comes out and upgrade with a total new front, fenders, grill, lights, etc.
