AMG Door Sills
Does anyone have a picture of the lighted AMG door sills on the SL55 AMG?
Thanks

That is a pic of a early pre-production C Class sill Harris was working in. I don't know if lighted sills come saying AMG as a factory item. I've only seen the lighted ones saying Mercedes Benz.

I saw a picture a few weeks ago, it was an SL55 at a car show and the door sills said AMG. It wasn't the traditional AMG logo, it looked like this...
( ----------------- /////AMG ---------------- ).
It was an oval shape rather than rectangular, it looked great.

Where do you get those???? I neeeeed those ASAP. I'm cancelling my factory illuminated door sills, unless they are going to have the AMG lettering illuminated like these.

Yes those look nice, I think the SL55 may be the first vehicle to come from the factory with the Illuminated AMG sills. Those are the new kind of sills as well.

As a educated guess, I would say no, the CL will still have the rectangle sills as they do now...

You are right. The differnces of SL55 sills are round ends
and two center lines illuminating.
Anyway where I can buy them?

I can only assume that the new illuminated AMG door sills replace the illuminated Mercedes-Benz door sills on the SL55, and that they are installed as a factory option. I would contact your local dealer, as I would hope they would be able to retrofit them.
Does anyone else have pictures of other SL55's with the illuminated door sills, or pricing on the retrofit?
Thanks

In the UK, they are listed as dealer supplied, though quite expensive, close on $1000. The lighting can be had in white or blue and the sill plate says either Mercedes-Benz or AMG.
I'd always intended to have them on my car but decided at the last minute not to and it was not a problem because they're not installed on the line and would have been installed at the central car preparation department before delivery to the dealer.
