Evosport Rotors owners! Give me feedback!
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about purchasing the Evosport lighweight floating rotors, stainless steel brake lines and pagid brake pads.
SL55 owners with these rotors, please tell me how you like them!
How are your brakes now compared to stock? Is it worth it? A bitg difference?
Thanks

Personally I'm planning to run the stock rotors until they wear out then replace them with the Evosport rotors.

I can vouch for the quality and materials for the evosport rotors. They are worth the price, I tried to get some rotors made for the IS350.
To match the quality of the evosport rotors, I'd have to charge about the same price as the evosport rotors. I decided it wasn't worth it (considering the IS-F is almost out).

Thanks, I just posted on the E55 section.
They definitely seem like terrific quality rotors. I love the fact that they save me 34lbs of unsprung weight on all 4 corners.
I'm hoping these rotors, brake lines and new pagid pads will give me improved braking, and less fade...
It seems that this is the next closest thing to a new big brake kit from Brembo or Rotora, which is going to cost me a lot more.

Had.
They are only making 4500 of them and after seeing a few, I canceled mine. I wouldn't have been happy with one, wasn't outrageous enough. Might as well let one lucky soul enjoy his (or hers!)
The E90 M3 looks very bad IMO and I'm still scared of the W204's quality, perhaps once Vadim's 63-engine supercharger is on sale I'll come back to Mercedes.
I think right now though, I just want my LS repaired and maybe look into a used Ducati 999 (thanks to the 1098 coming out, woot depreciation!)

I think the new M3 looks ok, not great but not terrible. I'd rather take a 335ci coupe and mod the hell out of it. I have a feeling there will be a lot of 500+ hp 335s running around soon...I still love how the E46 M3 looks. I've seen a lot of w204 c-classes running around lately. The C63 looks very aggressive and mean. I'm indifferent to the IS-F. However, I do really like the new LS, I've been in a few and they are wonderful cars.

I guess not too many SL owners have this upgrade?
Anyway, I ordered these and should be at my shop in two weeks.
I'll let you guys know how it goes....

My Brembo rep explained to me that there is a big difference between our stcok Brembo brakes and their GT kits. I installed them on my SL55, and I have to say that they made a huge difference. My lap times dropped, and I have experienced zero fade.
With our SL55's we don't have to change out the rears, so it is just the fronts, which makes the costs a bit easier to swallow.

I am glad to see that you are addressing your brakes. All of our clients want to go fast, but it is hugely difficult to get them to the mindset that they should really take their brakes to the next level as well.
