SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL600 question
I just want to make sure I upgrade to a faster car, not go to a slower car.

So, any times? Thanks in advance.
If you do try a 600 I strongly suggest putting the 19" wheels off the 55/65 on it. It handles like a totally different car with P zero Rosso 19" than the stock Michelin Pilot Sport 18". If I was doing it again I would look hard at the 65.

I test drove it...compared to our E55's...it does feel faster high end ..also on the highway
E55: 469 horses, 516 ft lb torque. Think about it.
More torque and power for the SL600 and can be more easily modded to over 600 horses with ease...
Stock for stock? Quarter Mile times vary for both cars. I'd say pretty close.
So far, only happy clients. The 600 cars are very tunable. They do need a little help in the chassis department.

I'd guess your SL600 is chip tuned. Yes? No?
I upgraded my rear tires from the stock PZero Rossos to Nitto NT555RIIs. Shorter life but they really stick, both at the track and on the open road.
If modded, then I think I'll pass up the SL600. I thought the 600 would do that stock...
I've clocked 11.9 in my E55 just on K&N and exhaust. Street tires, as well.

Two totally different cars to me.
Nothing against the E55, but the SL600 is so much more luxurious.
Price point is totally different too.
Stephen, do you still have the Renntech upgrade?
In any case, I'm not basing my decision just on the 1/4 mile time alone. It's just one of the many factors. I believe tomorrow is the day, if I get it, expect pictures. It is beautiful in person, pictures do not do the car justice.
11.90 @ 119mph
wow thats movin. Do you have a time slip for your for these runs, it sounds rather fast for your mods.
