I've allmost bought a 2005 SL65 (I know more next week).
BUT, as it appears, the car doesn't have keyless!!!
Isn't that STOCK..?! Eitherway, a CHOCK is what it is!

I know what you're thinking: Get away from it!

But the thing is, that the price makes me wanna buy it anyway..!
It's all a matter of price, I allways say (and that's appliable even here).

So, my question to you out there, is as follows;

Is there anyway at all possible to get it installed afterwards..?
Of course, I see big problems (ignition + keys + doorhandles + some modules etc)...

Does anyone here heard of something like that..?
Would be very interested in your thoughts.

Thanks.

as crazy as it sounds...no it isn't standard. also i won't say there is no way to get it done....but it sure as heck wouldn't be worth it. best bet is to just get over not having it...

But hey, that sounds just like "mine"..! Silvermet with leather in Alpakagrey!
Did that one have a RENNtech package to it? Even the interior? And 20" SLR rims..?

It must be that one! I mean, how many dislikes PDC and keyless..?!

Can you see if you can get some info there for me, Murtaza..? Pretty pleeease?

I've been told, from the seller in Germany, that the car is on the plane over here "as we speak", he said.
And that I can look at it in Stuttgart on friday.

Btw, it should have the panorama roof anyway. Because I've seen that on the photos.
And the interior looks like some strange looking white carbon fibre... Never seen that before!

keyless or keyfull
Mines an 06 SL65 without keyless; doesn't seem to effect the handling or performance of the car. In fact, I,m probably saving some onces with the keyless which in conunction with the Renntech mods and my new HRE M40 wheels with PS2's makes it that much faster than a keyless equipped SL65.

Keyless will only matter if you try to sell it yourself.
If you trade it on the next car, I highly doubt that a dealer (other than MB) will say, "Hey, no keyless? Sorry we gotta' mark ya' down on that."

If you price it right someone will buy it.

The one i'm talking about is in California maxabo It was black/grey with a painted front grill (horrible job) and lorinzer decklid spoiler. It had no renntech anything.

i am willing to give away 20% horsepower for keyless... it's such an unbelivable feature.... now it seems that using a key to open door and ignite is a lot of work for me...

Interesting thought..!
I'm also used to having it. And that's why it troubles me. Otherwise it wouldn't be that big a deal...

But I'm still investigating if it's installable...
