Thanks, actually it kind of fell in my lap, my buddy was trying to sell it, cause he bought an sl65, so he called me, and told me so, I thought about it for a day, then told him that I wanted it, I was it that day.

In Elk Grove, and I realy wasn't speeding, I was on laguna blvd, I was going 55 mph in a 45, but I was with the flow of trraffic, and I had the radar detector off, since, I wasn't doing anything crazy.

Congrats. So, now you have an S55 and an SL55 and friends with S65 and SL65. How about an objective comparison. I would like any one of them and would like to know how they compare.

the SL is a total different ball game, you feel the power, a lot more, and the handeling is just awsome.

gr8 exterior but.....Woah that interior iz thrazzzzzzzzzed/ripped look at the passenger seat???? Fat Albert ridin' shotgun? or Flood recovery?? & all the stains all over nearly the whole interior?

I don't think its a rip...but interior does appear stain-like

Trust me it's a ripp, I just bought a 2005 SL600, seats do not look like that. I got mine out of state, being delivered to me mon-tue next week! can't wait

Looks like light reflecting off one of the mirrors shinning onto the seat. I took the same picture at night of my Volvo when I bought it, made it look like my passenger seat was torn.

No it is ripped look @ this pic off Autotrader.....There are deff 5 section/ribbs in seat leather, that seat/interior is near totalled on OP auto... Deff not reflection.

Notice seat has (2) rips on it, (1) very front of seat (2nd) in the middle w/notable sagging, & staining like it was submerged in water everywhere.. I'd check carfax if I was the buyer on this purchase.

Nice car get rid of those cheap plastic floor mats, I love your car dude! You can go to an upholstery shop and get your seat fixed if it is indeed ripped.

It really matters less....if OP has a rip or not he mentioned he got a great deal on it so if it is ripped then he can have a shop repair it...right?

That might be because your car has different seats. I dont see a rip i see a reflection of light on the passenger seat. It is to geometrical to be a rip.

I have the same exact combo on my SL55 and its extremely difficult to keep ash leather clean if you get near driving it on a daily basis. I rarely use it more than a day or two a week and it still gets dirty every month.

I think an afternoon with interior cleaner and then a week of work with leatehrique will make the interior look like new again.

If its totally stained, a new seat leather from the factory is about 1.5k. Not the end of the world.

I'm not trying to put the guy down, just pointing out what I see, I can't believe you can't see the seperation between seams @ the bott of seat where the seat halves meet??.

As I said earlier car looks gr8 otherwise, deff NOT a reflectionanyhow congratz on the benzo

There are no rips on any of the seats, the mats are dirty. that's wht I got those clear ones, untill the ones I ordered come in the mail, the car is actually in great condition besides the carpet being dirty, but going to detail this weekend.

Hmmm ok, good luck w/it! how many miles are on your 2003? warranty? there are some Krazzee deals goin on right now, I saw on Autotrader 1 2003 sl55 for $28,000 high mileage but still krazzee deprecation another w/50k 2003 for $42,500
