030 Option cars
Was this option available for MY 2006 cars, or just MY 2007 - present ? I had hoped to limit my search to a newer SL, but there seems to be a relative shortage of the 030 cars vs. those without this option. Several dealers call this a "rare" option , and are still asking close to MRSP !

E63 P30, CL500 Sport
The 030 package was available for MY2003+ but only in Europe NOT for the U.S. market. For the SL/CL/CLS, I believe the 030 option started hitting the U.S. market with MY2006 (and maybe even some of the late MY2005), and for the E-Class it started with MY2007 (E63).
The 030 option is different from model to model.....
On the CLS-Class:

- 19" 2-piece wheels (bigger + lighter + stronger).
- Bigger brake rotors
- Stiffer suspension
- AMG LSD with 30% locking ratio ( but some say 40%
) - Increase Top Speed Limiter from 155 mph to 186 mph
- Alacantra steering wheel
- Carbon Fiber interior trimming (only for MY2009 I think)
On the E-Class:

- The Performance Package begins with a 20 percent increase in top track speed to 186 mph.1
- 19-inch AMG twin-spoke multipiece alloy wheels are finished in sterling silver and equipped with high-performance tires2 — the largest available factory wheel and tire combination mounted on AMG lightweight two-piece alloy wheels.
- AMG Safety Car front bumper side air extractors provide extra cooling and aerodynamics for performance driving.
- The AMG track-calibrated Airmatic suspension system is exclusively calibrated for use in high-speed driving conditions, while the limited-slip differential improves traction by preventing wheel slip under lower traction conditions.
- Limited slip differential with a 30% locking factor under load prevents wheel slip under lower traction conditions.
- AMG compound braking system with larger front rotors.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Also, many of the R230 have..
the Safety Car steering wheel as well. Nice.
