It's here

My excitement is overwhelming. My SL55 is at the dealer; I've seen it and sat in it. Unfortunately it arrived late today, and I'll have to wait one more day . I was having reservations about the pewter and berry interior but no more; I was stunned as it really worked well together. The ventilated seats appear to be standard (at least in Alabama) as I did not order them nor are they on the invoice; they're just there. I hope everyone is enjoying theirs still. By the way, I was told we have two allotted per year in Mobile, referencing a prior thread regarding rural/medium sized dealers.

Cheers.

Thumbs up It's Here

Fast Bubba,
Congratulations! Should you ever put your car on the dragstrip, please post some times. I'm sure lots of people would be interested in seeing such. Maybe even a few possible SL buyers, not that many would want to drag race with them. Best of luck and be happy.

Have not seen a Pewter/Berry combi yet so please post some pics when you can. Good for you if you got your ventilated seats free. Enjoy!

Didn't order them and not on the window sticker invoice. They were, however, demonstrated to me yesterday. Maybe I lucked out and MB accidentally installed them, but knowing them rather well, I highly doubt it. They did, however, seem to misplace the order for the phone which is being remedied today. Once the car is mine officially, I'll inquire further for you (no point in my being charged for something I didn't order if I don't have to).

Fast_Bubba and everyone else..?

Seems so strange that MB would "GIVE" you anything. Innterestingly, Ventilated Seats are NOT on the option list on the MB website. Does anyone know if they perhaps are now "standard equiptment" on the SL55? They are on my order form for $1200.

Lights up red for heat and BLUE for cool; I've tried them both and they work. Again, I have no explanation but didn't pay for it

Drove it tonight but had to leave it at the dealer for the phone installation till tomorrow. Wow, am I going to get into trouble with the law and my insurance company; the acceleration was phenomenal (I was up to 100 mph before I realized it with no fade in the pull). This thing is awesome.

Red stitching in photo of ventilated seat controls is very nice. Do you know if this is being done with other SL55 interiors? (I ordered ash leather.)

As to "undocumented" options, the MB dealer here in Marin has a new CL55 on the floor with Parktronic on the car but not on the window sticker. The salesmen are baffled.
