Sl55 Seats

The SL55 has AMG seats, how do these differ from the optional comfort seats? Are they quite different? Anyone have a picture of both styles?

Dave.

996 Turbo
Ermm are they all your cars or your friends and families? I only ask because you have two GT2s?

Oh well, I opted for the comfort seats, so hopefully they are still fairly supportive and not 'armchairs'.

Regarding GT2's, the 993 and 996 models are very different beasts, hence needing 2 . The 996 is really not, in my opinion, a true GT porsche. The 993 will leave it for dead on the track. The 996 is an expensive Turbo with no racing intentions, I was disapointed with it.

I hate selling cars so tend to keep them

Dave.

I think the comfort seats refers to things like lumbar support and cooling. The SL55 seats are very supportive, both vertically and laterally and much more comfortable than the "regular" seats than my £55. They are not as deeply dished as the "sports" seat option you get on a 911.

BTW Dave, you're surely not planning to keep the SC430 once you get the SL55 are you?

Thanks blue, just what I hoped for.

Yep, the SC will be going, I can't see that being used much now

The SL has arrived at the dealer early, was not expecting it till Jan/Feb because of a designo wood trim addition. Turns out it did not add any time to the build. Tellur silver/Berry/Umbro wood.

I have only driven my SV so cant comment on other Diablo's. They have tremdous grunt, tremendous grip and make the best noise

Gearbox is very slow, mine is pre-ABS which keeps you on your toes. They handle well although poor road surfaces tend to bring out poor damping characteristics.

Easier to drive than I thought it would be, but noise levels inside pretty damn high with the sports exhaust, which most have.

Been very reliable though. The 6.0SE looks like a great car.
