replacement for my SL55

Well I've been looking at all sorts of cars to replace my SL55 which I still love but I have wanted a change. I think becuase the SL is such a great car most do not measure up for what I want. I looked at Ferrari 360, SL65, Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9 just to name a few. Well I just bought a Ferrari 612 and it is fantastic. I've only driven it about 20 miles so I will have more of an opinion in days to come. I'm not sure if I will keep the SL. It all depends if the Ferrari can be as good as a daily driver but I think it can.

The 612 is a great car, but the problem that you are having is that there really isn't a replacement for the SL55....

I have gone through the same challenge.

I hear you and I will not be surprised to find my self driving a SL63 a year from now. I got a terrrific deal on this 612 and I've never had a Ferrari before so I thought I needed to do this once in my life.

Can you please compare the 612 Scaglietti to the SL55? How is it as a daily driver?

Thanks.

Thanks.
So far it seems every bit as good as a daily driver. The front end has about the same clearance so driveways have not been an issue. You can get in and out with the same ease. Driving with one hand while holding a cup of coffe is just as easy. I will say there is a bigger blind spot but so far it seems like a car you could drive everyday. The transmission is very smooth and in the auto mode is close to feeling the the SL. I will say that it does handle much better. Probably from being much lighter and having the engine completely behind the front wheels for better balance.
It does not suck.

The biggest cost will be the 15k service coming up which I was quoted $1,700. This is not a car I plan on putting lots of miles on but mostly because I worry about the resale value.
