Does anyone know that the '09 trunk lid spoiler will fit on the pre '09 R230s ('06 SL65)? My dealer said it would be a special order and therefore I can't return if it doesn't fit. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just find a parts salesperson that is clueless and you'll be fine to return it.

It will fit lion, I have the part # if you need it. There's even a Carbon Fiber one (which is special order, and about $1k)

Thanks Marcus. The part # would be great. Any part no. with any color code will due as I will still have to sand and repaint to Pewter as there is no Pewter for '09.

I have as 09 SL63 coming in late August. I'm having the dealer remove the side badges and the rear spoiler (Iridium Silver). They are all on with double sided tape per AMG.

Sorry it took me so long. Attached is the parts listing for the CF and non-cf '09 spoilers.

00 88 is painted
03 88 is CF

Painted is $560, CF is $1680, according to my parts guy. If you have trouble getting your parts guy to get this part, my guy is very good and willing to get it for you. FWIW, he is a Mercedes parts guy, not some independent shop.

Wow just had MB here look it up and they quoted $2900 for the CF wing! I like the pricy your guy is charging.

I just installed the 2009 SL63 spoiler on my 2006 SL65 and it fit perfectly!

My local MB dealer ordered it and had it the next day directly from AMG!

It was listed at $540 but with a discount it is only $420. The cost was only $80 more then the repro...

They only come painted (in plastic) so I ordered it in black and had to paint it to match my blue (BLACK OPAL) SL65....

That's good news. I guess my dealer has no pull as I've ordered early this month and they are telling me it won't arrive until early August. Post some pics if you have some time!

Please post pics ASAP. As far as I know, yours will be the first SL65/55 to have the SL63 spoiler, at least on this site. We need to see what it looks like! I plan on doing the same thing, but would love to see it "live" first.
