Notice the odd rear badging? SL00 AMG?? Otherwise the car looks proper, did it get hit in the rear & some lame repair shop just slapped on (2) ZERO's or what

It may just be an odd custom job, but I would have it checked out before I bought it.

According to Netstar, that VIN is registered to a SL55, so at least the VIN they provided is legit...not sure about that re-badge in the rear though...

Guess it's just a little joke. Or maybe the previous owner's name was Otto Obama!

He should have gotten himself an "M" from the Mercedes-Benz oder AMG badge, turn it around and label it "SL0W".

It's priced about $10K over market, the paint needs some serious TLC (look at the swirl marks all over it), the front "star" has also been replaced with the SL65 or SL55 030 star.

Personally, I'd look for a different car.

Nope. That's simply the distronic sensor.

I think you are missing what I am talking about. The star in the grill is solid (flat. more aerodynamic), the normal SL55 star is just like the ones on the SL500...not solid, has a cavity between each leg of the star. I looked at the SL65 I have and it has the normal star as well. The only other car I've seen the solid star on is an 030 package SL55 but neither of our R230s have distronic, which I thought used the bumper sensors for the parktronic???

Sharkster is correct! the filled in star in the grill is DISTRONIC the open star that has gaps between ea. star leg is an SL R230 w/out DISTRONIC option.
