'06 SL65 - Room for a 3rd passenger?

I know it's not legal or recommended, but if you had to, could a 3rd person ride behind the passenger seat with it moved forward and the top up?

They might be more comfortable in the trunk. The room is minimal at best.

Tried to fit someone that was 5'10 170lbs that same way but didnt work. I did have him go in the trunk. Not recommended either way unless you really had to.

Ive had 4 ppl in my SL b4 .... 2guys in the front seats pushed foward and 2 girls in the back . they had to put they re legs across from each other and one foot on the floor . it had to be the worst 30min drive i ever experienced .

but i did the 2 girls in the front seat many times ..... seat all the way back . one sits normally the other has to sit inbetween her legs .

batman!

I have sat two girls in the front seat multiple times. In the SL they can actually still sit beside each other if they are adequately thin builds. And yes, their combined weight should never exceed 210 pounds!!! (The SL I am sure can handle more, but I can't ))

Just make sure to turn the heat massager on for maximum comfort.

Ive put 2 girls in the front seat and then another time 1 skinny girl in the rear with my buddy up front....seems like there was more room back there in the R129.

It is a terrible idea for a passenger to sit in the back. But if you are going to stick someone back there for a short ride, remember to raise the roll bar. You don't want that thing to deploy and turn their brain into scrambled eggs.

I finally got a chance to test drive, and yes, it's tight. I wasn't really considering it for open road driving, but just in the event I had to shuffle an extra kid across the neighborhood. Thanks for the replies, and it's a beautiful car, but decided not to give up my CLS with it's huge trunk
