Interesting Stats
The SL55 is one of the most beautiful cars on the road today... and seems to be also one of the most talked about AMG's to date... in only a few short months this section of the forums has already seen +5000 posts... as compared to other sections like the CL, SLK, and ML which have only seen hundreds or so...pretty amazing to me..... as it should be with such an amazing car.

Yes it seems to have changed everything in the high end cars with 500hp, super car looks, unbelievable styling, cool 16 sec convert roof and a price that is down right reasonable compared to other super cars. Lets see how other companies respond

No I didn't, and of course, that number would appeal to S and CL owners as well. I've never been to an auction, too time consuming, it must be like watching paint dry until the number you're interested in and then you lose.
A bit like a computing project I once worked on where we said it consisted of "long periods of boredom (writing the code) punctuated by brief periods of disappointment (watching it crash)"...
