SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL63 soon to be gone now, where do I go from here??
Currently I have Toyota FJ Cruiser - but I despise it and only have it for when I get the tingling to go offroad, and I have my SL63.
SL is gone and now I'm left with a decision that I have no clue about.
2009 Cadillac CTS-V (its a cadillac :/)
2009 BMW M3 (would have to buy an aftermarket supercharger or not get it)
2010 Mercedes E63 (would have to wait till Dec.)
2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2010 Porsche Panamera
2010 Porsche 911 Turbo
What else???
The payment on the SL was extremely high, so I could replace it with a combination of 2 new cars and still have some left over. So keep that in mind.
Maybe 911 Turbo + Panamera?

I also looked at an M3 and a CTS-V. Not sure on either of those really.
The SL63 was a great car - fast, sporty, had some cool electronic features, had the class. Too bad it has to go.
If you want a great daily car; that's a looker AND handles great....the M3 or the CTSV...and call it a day.
you may have had a lot of issues with the SL63 like many owners have reports; I'd stay away from the exotics and get something that's relaiable and hassle free considering all the crap that the SL63 has stirred up this year with unhappy owners...
roof down, exhaust note, gearbox , comfort, looks it kills the 55, no no
I am not talking about speed, just one aspect is, when I had a 55,
you never knew what it would do when you kicked down, sometimes
nothing, very scary when overtaking, the 63 gearbox is a piece of perfection,
it gets feedback from throttle input and puts you in exactly the right gear
you want, I think it's amazing, along with proper manual, not just auto
box overiding. I love mine even more after 5 months, every day is a pleasure
and I have done more miles in the 63 in 5 months than I done in 2 years of the 55, and roof is always open. You will really miss it.

AND every where I go people look and ask , particularly when you blip the
throttle for them.
Now I don't know what to get as I've had a lot of things already and others don't interest me or the wow factor would wear off within 1 or 2 months.
I'm heavily thinking about a GTR but its a Nissan and I'm sure will be worth $40K in a year.
