Low Oil Warning!

I perodically get a Low Oil visit workshop Warning message that pops up when I'm driving but when I run the oil level check with the car stopped it says everything is ok. I am quite sure it's a sensor but I'm not sure which one. Has anyone experienced this at all?

It's more than likely the sensor; dealer wants 400 or thereabouts for the job...I had this happen on my SL500 it would say oil level to high or something like that...

.
If you know how much oil it burns, say every 3000 miles, you can just top it off half a quart until it is time to spend the money to fix it.

It is the oil level sensor. It runs about $100 and takes about an hour to install.

Thanks for $100 price info. I'm on mbworld to keep mental notes on future repair costs. I'll be on a budget for a while.
