2003 SL55 AMG
I'm Having Some Problem I Need Your Help
i have a 2003 SL55 iv been having some problems now that if i leave the car outside in the cold for about 5 hours the key wont turn when you put it in the ignition you have to sit there and wait for the car to recognize the key. and if i dont drive the car for a day it shows me the "Consumer Electronics Offline" signal.
I had the alternator regulator replaced and MB told me both batteries were good, now the car wont recognize one of my keys and i am using my spare keys now.

my best guess is the batteries need to be replaced and the Electronic Ignition System needs to be replaced also. what do you guys think?

"ceo" message pretty much means your batteries are bad or you have a charging problem.

I had exactly the same in my SL55, they chnaged both batteries, afterwards
OK.

I was going suggest moving out of CT for the winter, as your car is protesting! But the correct answer is dead batteries.

It's going in Wednesday, how can I get them to change the batteries cause they seem to be dodging me on that and telling me the batteries are good still when I still get this problem?

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
03 to 10 thats 6 yrs. Batterys are near their lift expectancy
