Seems like it from the sideshot, lol? And why the redesign on body styling so soon? hmm... IMO, if it ain't broken, dont fix it! the current style of the SL class looks pretty as it is now.

WOW they effed that up. The current 2009-2011 SL63 IMO is the most badass looking SL to date.. the rear diffuser is sex, and the front is very aggresive. The only thing I like on this 2013 is the taillights. And that is it!

I just spotted a testing mule in Dubai of the new SL. Couldn't take any pictures though.
All I could tell from a glance, it definitely looks similar to the picture from the first link above, but around the front there were a few changes, and there were a few LED's slightly uncovered by the black tape.
Guessing since temperatures in Dubai now reach 45+, I am guessing heat testing?

That seems to be normal. When the 230 was being released there was the same reaction. I'm sure most everybody remembers the reaction to the 221 S Class. The testing mules really are a poor way to judge the car since typically the real life models are much better looking and the tech changes are in the wow category.

As for the front end, expect to see a refresh similar to the one done on the current CL.
The fog lights will be replaced with LED strips, the headlights will have more LEDs implements into them and the tailights will get a new shape and also have a different LED design.
The entire makeover for the SL won't happen for another 2-3 years.
