Carbon wrapped roof **Not for 56k**

I got my windows tinted today. While I was at the shop I came across the new 3M carbon wrap. So for S&Gs I had them wrap my roof... I like it. There is a vision to how this car is going to look. Wheels are on order.

Not bad.....

With a c/f rear lip and front lip, it would probably tie it all together a bit better.

Hooley you need to hook BOR up bro...he, has a nice cf theme in his mind and looking to make one of the cleanest SL's in our area I think with the cf lip and spiler and roof treatment...with the Savinis...and lowered on links...Clay your car will really pop!

Looks great, and the quality of the wrap job looks very good as well. But I think the part above the windshield needs to be covered also. Looks unfinished with this area exposed. Otherwise love it!

I hear ya, I was just taking in to get the windows tinted. I stumbled on a sample of the stuff. The guys started talking about it, then they stuck the sample on my roof.. However I couldn't judge how it would look with only a small sample stuck to my roof. So I just had them wrap the roof. Its one of those things... I could live with it, or with out it. I like it, but I could see why someone might not.

I think when all the outside mods are done, I will be able to make a better decision.

I think it's a nice addition. Sets it appart from the rest of the pack.

Unforutatly They messed up. As I was waiting for my DD driving service to pick me and my car up fro the bar Saturday night. I noticed one side of the roof like is a bit uneven. I going to have them redo it. How my drunk eye caught it is beyond me. Being a fanatic about my cars, makes me have an eye for small things that standout. I'm sure alot of you guys have it too.

I wont be happy until its perfect. No worries though.. The independent company that did the wrap is top notch and stands behind their work. So I'm very sure this minor oversight will be fixed ASAP.

If you are thinking about doing this.. I have no problem giving a full review win or loose, after a harsh Arizona summer. That should tell if this product is going to be able to stand up.

I do appreciated the complements. It really has grown on me. Even looking at it the first time. I wasnt sure if it looked hokey. I'm now digging it.

Looks good. I use the same stuff to wrap my 350z and SL interior. The quality is really good. People always think they're OEM trims. One of the Porsche sales said it looks just like the trim on his e92 M3.

wow that looks really nice? does it have a smooth texture or can you feel the material weave? I would think to smooth this out to the touch you'd need to spray a clearcoat or apply some sort of hardening resin to the cf wrapping material??
